Wedding Card for Kelsey

By | September 4, 2015

I wanted to share a wedding card a coworker hired me to make.  I was told to make it something special unlike a regular card and that they would be giving a gift card as their gift.  Of course, that is in addition to the wonderful gift of my card. 🙂

Here is how it looked when they removed it from the envelope.

The belly band was made using 1.25″x10″ of retired Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper.  Sahara Sand cardstock was cut using the Tags & Labels Framelits Dies and my Big Shot.  I stamped the floral design in Versamark, added White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and heat embossed.  Afterward, I thought it needed a touch more so I created the stitching with a gel pen.

I took a 6″x11″ piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and scored it using my Simply Scored at 4.25″ and then again at 8.5″.

For the center portion, I cut a 4″x5.75″ of Something Borrowed DSP for my mat, and a 3.75″x5.5″ of Whisper White (also cut one for the bottom section).  The stamps were from the For The New Two stamp set and were inked in Sahara Sand.

The gift card envelope was cut using the thinlits & my Big Shot.  I punched 2 small holes in the flaps and inserted 2 Candy Dot Brad Bases.  I put 2 Sahara Sand candy dots from the Neutrals Collection on top of the brad bases.  The tie was Silver Cording from the new Holiday catalog.

The card was a big hit and I hope you liked it as well.
