7 Sympathy Cards

By | July 18, 2015

Unfortunately, I have needed a lot of sympathy cards lately.  I wanted to share a few of them with you today.  Here are 7 sympathy cards I have recently made.

The card on the left was made using some retired products and a current host stamp set, Best Thoughts.  The card on the right is made entirely with current colors and Best Thoughts.  The host stamp set is an exclusive set for hosts!  You can become a host by having a Stampin’ Up! party with $150+ in orders, or by placing a qualifying order on your own.

I made this card by paper piecing.  That means I stamped the flower image on the Perfect Plum & Pear Pizzazz cardstocks.  I cut out the images and pieced them together before adhering to the front of this card.

The butterfly was stamped onto So Saffron cardstock and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The next card was made using the retired blendabilities to color in the flowers from the retired Bloom with Hope stamp set.  I just love that retired host set!  I think this set will be staying with me for quite some time.

The next card was made by stamping on 3 layers at once.  After stamping, you adhere each piece to a mat and then adhere all together.  Triple layer stamping gives the appearance of the images matching continuously from layer to layer even though there is a mat separating them.

Here are the dimensions used for this Triple Layer card.
White cardstock:
5 1/4″ x 4″
4 1/4″ x 3″
3 1/4″ x 2″

Colored Cardstock:
Base of card – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″  (scored at 4 1/4″)
4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
3 1/2″ x 2 1/4″

Here are a few others I had made a couple months ago but have not gotten around to sharing them yet.  These were all made with the retired (wasn’t at the time I made them) stamp set Love & Sympathy.
