Baby Boy Card for PPA 260

By | July 21, 2015

Hooray!!! It’s a baby boy!!! One of my coworkers received a new grandson today.  I made her a congratulations card based on the sketch challenge over at Pals Paper Arts.

I switched up the design a little on PPA 260 to fit the look I wanted to acheive.

I just loved the idea of “writing” on the children’s lined school paper for this card.  The background paper is from Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper.  To get the writing lined up on the paper, I masked the part of the stamp I did not want inked with tape.  Ink up the stamp and then remove the tape before stamping onto the paper.  Then repeat this process to stamp the second part on the next line.  Isn’t that just cute?!?!

I stamped the booties in Marina Mist into the corner and added a row of rhinestones underneath.

The baby carriage and booties used on this card are from the Something for Baby stamp set.  This stamp set is also available in a bundle with the matching Baby’s First Framelits.  When bought in the bundle you save 15%.

I stamped the booties on the front of the envelope.  The envelope liner was created using the Envelope Liners Framelits and my Big Shot.
