Some of the Pals participated in a Holiday Card Swap. Here is the card I made for the swap. I will be posting the cards the others made later this week.
I ended up making a total of 27 of these cards!
The first thing I did was stamp the antlers from the new stamp set, Wonderland, on a piece of Whisper White and sat it aside to make sure it was absolutely dry before continuing.
While that was sitting, I embossed the Soft Suede cardstock using the Woodland Embossing Folder and my Big Shot. I used a Sponge Dauber to ink up the trees with Whisper White Craft Ink. Craft Ink takes awhile to dry, so I left those to dry and went back to finish the reindeer.
I created a stencil for the reindeer by using the Owl Builder Punch and a scrap piece of cardstock. I used washi tape to mask off the areas I did not want. The washi tape also doubled to hold the stencil in place while I used another Sponge Dauber to add the Chocolate Chip ink.
Once everything was dry, I added a strip of Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack to the Soft Suede. I then added the Real Red and Garden Green Striped Ribbon and adhered it in the back. I adhered the Soft Suede to the Real Red card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. They are a must on almost every card!
The Owl Builder Punch was then used to punch out circles for the eyes, pupils, and nose. The nose was from Red Foil Sheets to add a cute shine to the reindeer. The Fine-Tip Glue Pen made adhering the small circles much easier! Highly recommend the new glue pen!!!!!
To finish it off, I popped up the reindeer using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I told you these things are a must on cards. 🙂
