These colors were a great choice for the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. Great picks everyone!
I couldn’t wait to try out some of my new stamps for PPA 255. I have just had watercoloring on my mind lately. For this this card, I wanted to create the look of watercoloring but with my new stamp sets: Watercolor Wash, Watercolor Words, and of course Watercolor Wings. Watercolor Wings is available in a bundle with the matching Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies which will save you 15% compared to buying both separately.
The Watercolor Wash background stamp was inked with Sahara Sand and then stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. I then adhered that piece at an angle onto the Sahara Sand cardstock.
I then inked up the larger butterfly in Watercolor Wings with Marina Mist. Next using Lost Lagoon, I stamped the butterfly with the details on the edges on top of what I had just done. I stamped the final butterfly image in Island Indigo and stamped once again on top of what I had previously done. These 3 steps created the unique look of the butterfly. To finish off the butterfly I stamped the body in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
The Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies and my Big Shot made cutting the butterfly out a breeze.
