I had so much fun water coloring for my PPA 254 card for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge this week. The color challenge called for Strawberry Slush, but since it is now retired I substituted it for the awesome new In Color Watermelon Wonder.
I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Soft Suede onto the Crumb Cake Cardstock.
I choose to use my new Remarkable You stamp set to watercolor. The image was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Of course, after I had already stamped the image I found my StazOn Jet Black Ink. I stamped the sentiment in the StazOn and would have stamped the image in it had I not misplaced it. LoL. I guess it is time to tidy up the craft room a bit.
The flowers were colored by using the medium sized Aqua Painter and the Marina Mist, Watermelon Wonder, So Saffron, and Cucumber Crush ink refills. I just loved coloring with the aqua painters. They give such a beautiful look to the water coloring and are easy to use!
Very sweet card. Love the watercoloring and the additional lace and brads details. So very glad you included the PPA color challenge in your stamping fun this week!
Thanks Katy! It was a fun color challenge to work with. I can't wait for the next one!
That wood looks sooooo natural! I am glad to hear that someone else has stamp pads MIA….Thanks for playing this week….the flowers make such an amazing statement!
Hahaha unfortunately some of my stamp pads are MIA all too often. They keep getting covered by all the cardstock as I am creating… Thanks, I enjoyed coloring them!
This is so pretty, Jennifer! It's the first I've seen a card with this set. You're coloring is gorgeous and I love the touch of lace at the bottom. Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts this week!
Thanks Dawn. I had a lot of fun coloring with the Remarkable You stamp set and am looking forward to using it more often.
