EOS Lip Balm Boxes

These cute little boxes were created for little gifts.  I love the EOS Lip Balm and wanted to be able to share them in a rather cute way.  I CASED (Copy and Share Everything) the design from UK demonstrator, Sam Hammond.

I made them in 4 different colors to match the lip balm inside the box!

Watermelon Wonder =  Summer Fruit

Tempting Turquoise = Blueberry Açaí

Strawberry Slush (Retired) = Strawberry Sorbet

Pool Party = Sweet Mint

I just love how great these turned out and were so easy to make.  All of the stamping is done before scoring and cutting the lid and base.  I used the floral image from For the New Two (Retiring at the end of this month) stamp set inked in the matching color for all the stamping.  The lid and base are made the same way, just different sizes.  Here is the basic template for the lid and base:

To make the lid you need a 4″ x 4″ piece of cardstock in the color of your choice.  Score it at 1″ on all four sides.  Then make cuts like shown in the diagram above.  Fold and adhere the tabs you just created to finish the design.  I used Fast Fuse Adhesive to put my box together, but the Tear & Tape Adhesive would work as well.

To make the base you need a 5-15/16″ x 5-15/16″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Score it at 2″ on all four sides.  Then makes cuts like shown in the diagram above.  Fold and adhere the tabs you just created to finish the design.  I used Fast Fuse Adhesive to put my box together, but the Tear & Tape Adhesive would work as well.

The decoration on top was created with:  Watermelon Wonder cardstock punched out with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and popped up on the lid with a Stampin’ Dimensional; Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper punched out with the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch (Retiring at the end of this month); Whisper White cardstock punched out with the Petite Petals Punch and popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional; Watermelon Wonder cardstock punched out with the Boho Blossoms Punch (Retired) but you could use the Blossom Bunch Punch, it just wouldn’t have the same amount of petals; Topped off with a Basic Pearl.

To finish off the box, tie Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon around the box and tie a bow at the top.
