In The Meadow for PPA282

By | January 11, 2016

Today, I am playing along with the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge PPA282.

I wanted to use my new In The Meadow stamp set for a masculine birthday coming up this month.

The card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I prefer to use the thick cardstock for a card base when I am not adhering layers into the inside.

I stamped the deer in Soft Suede onto Whisper White cardstock.  I sponged Old Olive ink on for the grass and watercolored the sky in Soft Sky with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.  By using the Wink of Stella brush instead of my Aqua Painter, I was able to watercolor and add glitter all at the same time without a mess!!  I am not a fan of glitter because it can be a bit messy, but this glitter brush eliminates that concern.  Love it!!

The DSP used for the sky is from Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration.  It is available as one of the FREE items you can choose when you place a $50 order.  One side of the paper gives a marbled look, while the other side is a watercolored look.

The inside is stamped “day after day, year after year.”
