Let It Snow

By | December 23, 2015

Here is a card we made at my November classes.  Isn’t that penguin just adorable?!?

The snowflake, Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set, was inked in VersaMark ink and then covered with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  Then Marina Mist ink was sponged over the top for the emboss resist look.  Use a tissue to wipe away the excess since ink will not adhere to what was heat embossed.

The snowflakes, Snow Friends stamp set, were stamped in Marina Mist.  Again wipe away any excess since ink will not adhere to what was heat embossed.

The penguin was stamped in Archival Basic Black ink to make it pop more against the Whisper White cardstock.  The beak was colored with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker.

The Marina Mist strip was trimmed using the Triple Banner Punch.  Next, sponge Marina Mist around the edges to add depth.

The Snowflake Element was sponged with Whisper White Craft Ink and allowed to dry.  Next, sponge on Dazzling Details onto the snowflake and allow to dry.  Adhere with a glue dot once everything is dry.

To finish off the card,  we stamped the inside in Marina Mist ink using 2 stamps from the Snow Friends stamp set.
