Vampire Cutie

By | September 15, 2015

I just love the Haunt Ya Later stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  The vampire, witch, cat, and pumpkin are perfect for coloring.

For my first card with this set, I chose to watercolor the vampire with an Aqua Painter and some Stampin’ Write Markers on Shimmery White Cardstock.  The Shimmery White Cardstock gives it the look of using some glitter without the mess.  It doesn’t really show up well in the picture, but in person it adds an extra wow factor to the vampire without adding the extra work.

I added a touch of Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker to the tips of the fangs.

The background paper I used is in the subtle shape of a bat.  Isn’t that cute?!?!  The Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper has a lot of cute designs, but I liked the bats the most with this vampire.  It looks so close to the design in last year’s designer series color packs (as seen on the envelope liner) yet they changed it a little to make it a bat.  I love it!

I swirled some Silver Metallic Thread and then adhered it down by gluing the Into The Woods Cotton Ribbon (Rich Razzleberry) on top of it.

I finished the front off by popping the vampire up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside of the card says “Have a Fangtastic Halloween.”
