Birthday Butterfly with a Surprise :)

By | September 27, 2015

Today’s birthday card was simple to make and has a surprise! 🙂

I stamped the Swallowtail stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to add the Mint Macaron color.

The corners were punched using the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  It has three different punch abilities in just one punch!  It can do two different corner punches and one ribbon punch.  I chose the more detailed punch for the corners on this card.

The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  There is a bundle available with this stamp set, but only the Happy Birthday was used on this card.

I popped up the Whisper White cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now, you may be wondering what is the surprise. 🙂  The surprise is that there is one other thing I did to this card, but it only shows up if the light and angle are just right….

I put Dazzling Details on the butterfly and used a Sponge Dauber to spread it where I wanted.  All of the above photos were taken after the Dazzling Details were added.  It shows up better in person, but with the right light and angle the lucky recipient of this card will sure to be surprised.
