Birthday Blossoms for PPA 258

By | July 4, 2015

It is time for another color challenge over at the Pals Paper Arts.  Summer is a continuous birthday season with my family members, so I can never have too many birthday cards on hand.  I decided to use the new stamp set Birthday Blossoms with the PPA 258 colors.

I LOVE that the flower coordinates with the Pansy Punch!! When stamps and punches go together it makes crafting a breeze.

The background was created by stamping with Watermelon Wonder onto the Watermelon Wonder cardstock.  It creates a watermark look to the card.  I did this to the corners of the outside and inside of the card.

The flowers were again inked in Watermelon Wonder, but this time I stamped them into the corner of the 3 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Next, I stamped the leaves in Cucumber Crush and celebrate you in Night of Navy.

I inked up the single flower with Versamark, and stamped onto a scrap piece of cardstock.  I then poured the white embossing powder over the top.  Remove the excess powder and then use the Heat Tool to set the image.  I used the Aqua Painters to watercolor the flower.  The colors used were Watermelon Wonder and So Saffron.

To finish the front of the card, I punched out the flower using the Pansy punch and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I added the 3 Regals Candy Dots in Night of Navy to the top corner.

The inside sentiment is actually 2 stamps.  I was stamping with the clear mount stamps, so I attached the 2 on the same clear block to ensure I got the proper placement that I wanted.
